Privacy

As soon as we save your data we are a ‘processor’ of your data. Simavi is therefore responsible for the processing of your personal data. We think that careful handling of this data is very important. This means, among other things, that we treat your personal data confidentially, that we have taken security measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorized access or theft and that we will delete data if it is no longer required for our work or when you ask us to do so.

The times when we receive your personal data

Simavi obtains your personal data in various ways. For example, when you make a donation to Simavi, at least your name and account number will be processed. This information is required for registering and processing your donation. In a number of cases we ask your address (also) to keep you informed of our work and new campaigns. If you are a volunteer for Simavi, or if you otherwise commit yourself to Simavi, we also collect your data for the benefit of our volunteer administration.

You can also process your personal data when you use our services. Consider, for example, the moment you contact our customer service department by e-mail or telephone, if you make a donation by SMS or if you register for our e-mail newsletter. In this case we process your account number, telephone number, e-mail address and your name.

We can also process your data that you share with us online. Consider, for example, signing a petition, your online action page and your details (such as your place of residence) that can be derived from social media. This allows us to offer you targeted and relevant information. We try to connect as much as possible with your personal interests.

For which purpose does Simavi collect and process personal data?

We process your personal data so that we include:

Access to and adaptation of personal data

If you want to know which Personal Data we collect and use, you can ask Simavi to send an overview. Simavi will then ask you to submit a copy of a proof of identity. The request for perusal can be made via the info@simavi.nl. Simavi will respond to your request in writing within four (4) weeks via the specified e-mail address. Which third parties have access to your data?

Simavi does not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not store your personal data longer than necessary

Your personal data will not be kept longer than necessary. Our aim is to destroy personal data as soon as we no longer need them in order to achieve our goals. We make your data useless by encrypting, anonymizing or deleting them. Some data is saved because it is required by a financial and / or fiscal obligation. In that case, your data will be stored for seven years.
